Sunahara Desert | Nanostray HD Sessions Extended OST
Edit: So, apparently they decided to reuse this song for an area (Sunahara Desert) within Shin'en's latest Wii U title: Fast Racing Neo (oh, and the Switch version which is FAST RMX). Didn't see that one coming, and frankly it fits very well for that fast paced racer. And the funny thing is that my extension matches EXACTLY like the one in Fast Racing Neo. Okay; what are the chances of that? So yeah. Figured I'd update this real fast. Just enjoy the music as always! ....and yes, I know that the extension will just show the art for the HD Sessions, but just pretend there's Fast Racing Neo and FAST RMX art there. Besides, this is where it originated from anyways and this was prior from when I knew Sunahara Desert was a course in Fast Racing Neo, much less the theme being in there. Quite crazy.
Been a little while since I did an extension, so why not of one of my favorite videogame songs: Sunahara Desert...the HD remaster of it to be exact. A bit random to do it right now, but consider this two things: Nanostray being ten years old (well, when it's July that is), and the fact I reached 1,100 vids! ...yeah...kind of stopped caring about the number of vids for quite some time, but whatever. If you aren't familiar, Nanostray is a SHMUP released on the Nintendo DS in 2005 by Shin'en. In a sense, Nanostray can be considered as a spiritual successor to the two Iridion titles on the GBA, albeit they aren't really that related outside of being SHMUPs by Shin'en and having the same composers (Manfred Linzner). Odd thing is that the Nanostray games don't really offer anything new on the SHMUP genre table, but that isn't necessarily bad either. They are still entertaining SHMUPs and offer a bit of a challenge like it should, but likely the games will be a piece of cake to SHMUP veterans. But as for the soundtracks of them, they are some of my favorite VGM I've heard in years. Fitting for the genre, which is a good thing. Of course, this HD remaster is not how the original DS version sounded outside of the melody, but the original is equally as good regardless. And consider this a bit of advertising if you're reading this far down, but I recommend purchasing The Nano Soundtrack Collection if you wish to hear more of the awesome music from the Nano series as well as to show your support to the devs. For $10, you can get five albums spreading from the Nano series; a good deal I must say. Trust me; the music from these albums is worth the price...well, for me anyways. The link: http://soundtrack.shinen.com/?nano
