Sun's Song is another one of those mysterious and really cool melodies from the Zelda series that contains such a deep meaning despite being very short - I wanted to keep that inital mysterious vibe even though I deviated a lot from the original. I'm not sure I succeeded, but either way I'm happy with how it turned out in the end. Sadly there are some syncing problems that occured when I uploaded the video, but I'm not sure it would be different even if I reuploaded it.
I had some trouble while making this, mainly related to strings. I ordered a huge order of strings well over a month before recording the parts because I knew I wanted new fresh strings (and ones in adequate gauges for the tuning I wanted to use) and I was also planning to have the action of the Agile adjusted before that to have things sounding as good as possible. Things went wrong though and the strings didn't arrive, so I had to make the best of the situation which was boiling the strings to clean them. This worked pretty well, but it didn't solve the gauge and action problems which is why there's a lot of fret noise and buzzing going on throughout the video. While not a huge deal (it sounds pretty good anyways I'd say) it's something that could have been better, so I'll get that stuff done for future videos. There will be a lot more 9-string stuffs coming up.
Huge thanks to my dad Ro for laying down a really feelsy solo. Also, huge thanks to my future husband Brandon, AKA SixteenInMono for reamping my guitars with his epic, saucy t0ne! It ended up sounding huge thanks to him! Subscribe to both these awesome fellas.
