Sunset Overdrive is a open world, third-person shooter video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Microsoft Studios exclusively for the Xbox One. Set in the fictional open world metropolis Sunset City in 2027, players control a fully customizable FizzCo employee who fights the OD'd, humans transformed into monsters after consuming an energy drink. Players wall-run and use zip-lines and grind rails to swiftly navigate Sunset City, and have a large weapon arsenal to use in action.

In 2027, FizzCo has released their new hit energy drink, OverCharge Delirium XT. The only problem is that it’s caused everyone who drank it to turn into mutants. A FizzCo employee teams with the survivors (who are not enemies) to escape.

As the game begins you'll already be in a pretty bad predicament. Don't worry if you have no idea what to do, where you are going, or what's going on - all will become clear. When you gain control of your character, follow the map markers and run from the train up the platform and then jump over the fence. Dodge any of the monster you see, as you have no weapons to defend yourself. If you get hit, don't fret - just keep moving.
As you round the corner you'll see a fan blowing, you can bounce on it to get to the roof. Note the green +, these will give you health if you've taken a beating. Continue along the roof to see where your destination is. Wait for the giant monster to destroy the helicopter before continuing on.
Jump down to the street level with the help of the fans to bounce between buildings. Don't worry about fall damage - it doesnt exist in this game. There's also another health pickup if you got hit. From the building, you'll need to cross to the other side and stay off the street as much as possible. Being on the street means your going to die fast. Instead, bounce off cars to give yourself height to the opposite side. If it's not a flat road or surface, there's a good chance its bouncy - cars, umbrellas, awnings, you name it!
Climb the building on the left using the awnings to get on top of the overpass. Once again you'll need to bounce between cars to keep the monsters off you. If you hit the ground, quickly get back on the cars before you get swarmed.
Now you'll reach your first rail. These will become the life-blood of this game, and you should be grinding on these guys whenever possible. Just tap A to jump and then press X to grind along the rails. At the next building, head left up the broken tower and grind it across to the other side. Then grind on the pole that goes up and around to where your place is..except for that giant monster guarding your door. Quickly tap X in the opposite direction to play a game of pickle with him, leading him back to the other side before dodging back to your door. Unfortunatley, the door is locked and the giant monster comes back to smack you several buildings away.
Get on the nearby wire to grind and tap X to switch between hanging from the wire fo grinding on top. You'll need to alternate between both to avoid the monsters clogging the lines. Ride the line all the way to the lone survivor with a gun...which is now your gun!
With your new-found Flaming Compensator, take the fight to the monsters and blast them away, preferably while moving. If you stop moving, you become a bigger target - so feel free to grind while shooting. Once the group of them are dead, the giant mutant will return. Use your grinding and shooting skills to stay one step ahead of him and shoot, dodging when you think he might be on to you. Look for the red circles that mark where he will attack, and jump or dodge out of the way and resume firing. Again - keep moving! If you die, don't worry, you just get to experience one of the many awesome respawn animations!
Once you defeat it - or just piss it off, another survivor will lure it away from you, letting you get back to your place and finish the mission. Now you'll finally get some backstory on what led to the events you were just in!
You'll have the opportunity to change your wardrobe - which you won't be able to do for a little while after this mission.
