"←" means Back (or Going away from opponent)
"A" means button A (or Punch)
"B" means button B (or Kick)

Each character has 20 basic attack moves (10 normal and 10 strong). In the original version (Arcade, Snes, Sega, etc) there are 3 kind of moves i.e 30 basic moves (quick, middle and strong) but in this 8 bits version the middle one does not exist.

How to produce a strong move?
STRONG MOVES (i.e Kick Roundhouses, Uppercuts, Strong Kicks, Strong Punches and so on)
It's all about "holding".
If you press: bbb... [very quickly] (that is 3 "normal kicks") but:
If you press: B---B---B [holding a little each B] (that is 3 "Strong Kicks")
[Strong Moves] means that you must "hold" a little the B button or A button. "A" or "B" capital letter.
[Normal Moves] means that you must "tap" quickly the button B or A button. "a" or "b" low-case letter.
[Close] means that, very close to the rival.

"()" means (holding a little)
"(+)" means (holding a combination)
"," means (release the button or previous combination)

— STANDING MOVES

→ Strong Punch (A)
→ Normal Kick (b)
→ Strong Kick (B)

— STANDING CLOSE MOVES

— CROUCHING MOVES
→ Crouching Normal Punch (↓+a)

→ Crouching Normal Kick (↓+b)
→ Crouching Strong Kick (↓+B)

— JUMPING UP MOVES
→ Up Normal Punch (↑+a)
→ Up Strong Punch (↑+A)
→ Up Normal Kick (↑+b)
→ Up Strong Kick (↑+B)

— JUMPING FORWARD OR BACKWARD MOVES
→ F/B Normal Punch (→+↑)+a or (←+↑)+a
→ F/B Strong Punch (→+↑)+A or (←+↑)+A
→ F/B Normal Kick (→+↑)+b or (←+↑)+b
→ F/B Strong Kick (→+↑)+B or (←+↑)+B

— THROWING AND BLOCKING
→ Throwing (→+A) [Close] (all characters have this move but Blanka hasn't it)
→ Blocking (←) [when an enemy attacks]
→ Low Blocking (←+↓) [when an enemy attacks]

These moves vary esthetically a little among characters for example Ryu and Ken's "Crouching Strong Kick" is called "Foot Sweep" but Dhalsim's "Crouching Strong Kick" is called "Sliding Foot Sweep". https://twitter.com/NenrikiGaming
