As you have likely seen at this point, Bob-Omb Battlefield is home to a massive Chain Chomp. This is the only one in the game.

It can't be defeated directly, not even with Bob-Ombs, and it's kinda scary to approach. What you can do is Ground Pound the wooden peg that it's leashed to. This will free him up, and force him to ram down the nearby gate before running off. Looks like he just wanted to be free.

With that gate smashed open, just take the Power Star and move on! Now to get that hidden Star!
