62Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is not a game that you will hear people talk about often, and isn't even a game that too many people know exists, although those who have played it know that it is much more than just a simple port of the original SMB released back in 1985!
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe offers new challenges to those who have mastered the main game, including a challenge mode which places five red coins in each level, a high score to beat, and a hidden Yoshi Egg to find which acts similarly to the DK Coins from the Donkey Kong Country series! Those who make it far will unlock even more bonuses, including a mode which allows you to race against Boo, and even a port of the original Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2, or Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels as it was known as in North America and Europe!
If you like what you see I definitely recommend trying the game out for yourself, as despite the slightly smaller screen, it is really fun to play through such an old game with a bunch of new twists! If you are having trouble locating a physical copy, you can also download the game from the Nintendo 3DS eShop!
