The Mushroom Kingdom was a peaceful land inhabited by the mushroom residents known as Toads and their fair ruler, Princess Toadstool Peach. However, it is also home to an evil magic-using clan known as the Koopas. One day, the ruler of the magic-using clan, King Bowser Koopa, decides to make a move that brings a great despair over the Mushroom Kingdom. These magic-weilding koopas turn the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom into stone and kidnap Princess Peach. Hearing this distress call, Mario and Luigi set out through perils to save the Mushroom Kingdom from the hands of the Koopas. After defeating Bowser and rescuing the princess. They all return home for a peaceful night. Little did they know what awaited them next. Bowser has returned and this time he has a much greater challenge for Mario. This time, it seems, saving the princess is going to be MUCH harder.
