Super Mario Kart (SNES) : Tutorial - How to perform an infinite boost (IB) at low speed
Here is a short tutorial I've just made to explain how to perform an infinite boost even if the character has totally stopped on the track. The trick works this way, please remember that you have to hit a speed arrow while boosting to create an IB. So, you have to stop just behind the arrows and hold the brake button (Y) in order to prevent the kart to start, then press B, R (or L) and a direction at the same time: the game will think you are zigzagging or something like this. Then, even if you hold Y, the boost will start, so release ALL buttons and when you touch the arrows, the IB will start too. This works on both PAL & NTSC systems.
And of course, as words won't be enough, the video's there to help a bit more. ;-)
