Super Mario World: All World Bosses - SNES - T02R05 | Koopa Kids Defeated! | Retro Recordings
The purpose of recording these games to videotape was to try to show the entirety of a game, but when that wasn't feasible I could settle for just showing the boss fights as a compromise. If you want the full game: https://youtu.be/LJcHI8uB0LA
So this video shows me beating all of the stage bosses in Super Mario World for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. After the bosses, I show all of the castle's defeated cut scenes, a personal favorite. Then I defeat Bowser and show the game's final credits.
A historical note: since videotape is a linear recording format, once I'd started to record long-form footage like this it meant I couldn't really record any other NES games until I'd completed all of the footage I'd set out to capture.
**NOTICE**
This footage was recorded by me, a gamer of average skill. The recorded video is novel only because of its age, taped before the benefit of GameFAQs or access to other online assistance. The only help available came in the form of gaming magazines and word of mouth. Otherwise, expect an unremarkable run through the game featured.
The original tapes were recorded in EP (SLP), transferred to DVD recorded in LP (four hours per single-density DVD), ripped using a lossy video format, split, combined, stretched to standard SD, and reencoded with another lossy format, and then finally YouTube adds its own compression. Each transfer introduces more degradation of quality. On CRT, the original tapes and first-generation DVD recordings look clearer and more vibrant than what's being shown here. Reference quality transfer wasn't required, my old tapes are only important to me.
