To do a beam combo, you need at least one power bomb and you need to have the charge beam and one other beam equiped. Select the power bombs, charge your beam, and watch the awesomeness play out.

To do the crystal flash you need to have less than 49 energy and EMPTY reserve tanks and you need at least 10 missles, 10 super missles, and 11 power bombs. Select the power bombs and lay one down. While the bomb is exploding, hole down the fire button, L and R, and the down button all at the same time. If done correctly you will see an awesome animation and you restore all of your health.
