A game that is no stranger to this channel, in fact one we've been seeing quite a lot of as of late! Super Metroid, a game that, with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, defined an entire genre, though as much as I love SotN (and even prefer it), I am quick to say that Super Metroid, I feel, did more of that work. SotN instead added its own flavor to it and own spinoff subgenre of RPG-like Metroidvanias, which is great! But those owe much to Super Metroid. A great game.
