Super Metroid Space/Time Beam 104% Completion (Super Metroid 25-year anniversary)
Super Metroid was released today 25 years ago on July 28th 1994 in Europe. Original Release Date March 19th 1994 in Japan. I have fun with the Space/Time Beam (sometimes spelt Spacetime Beam or Space Time Beam) in this video: I show how to perform it and reset the game's state. Upon Saving and restarting, the intro plays again and you land in Ceres, but you lose your missiles, as the game gives you 4 for the black and white Mother Brain scene. Due to Screw Attack, Samus falls to the floor here. This allows me to beat the game without Missiles. I demonstrate the glitchy symbols that appear when you collect 100 or more Super Missiles or Power Bombs. I show off the glitchy inventory when you get more than 4 Reserve Tanks. I finish the game with 104%: These consist of no missiles, 115 Super Missiles, 105 Power Bombs, 12 Reserve Tanks, and 30-something Energy Tanks. Each of the main items i only collected exactly once i think. For fun, i showed how to freeze Golden Torizo with the Murder Beam. I play on the European PAL version, as is fitting for the 25-year PAL anniversary.
