I do fight against some hard hitting characters, and I use Olimar, and while he is a very light character. The one thing they changed about Olimar in this game is that he can only have three Pikmin at a time, and the order he plucks them is Red, Blue, Yellow, White and Purple instead of completely random. His new Up Special is that the Winged Pikmin from Pikmin 3 can carry him back to the stage. While Ganondorf and Charizard can hit hard, and Shulk has a very overpowered counter, and they are tough opponents, you'll see how good I do against them, and who wins this match.
