Adventure Mode: World of Light Finale
Time we finish this! If you remember in the previous part, we defeated Galeem and Dharkon. Now we’re finishing things up by freeing the remaining spirits, unlocking the remaining characters and defeating two Master and Crazy Hands individually. Eventually a Master and Crazy Hand will come and help the heroes open a passageway to the end.
It’s here where we get to one of my favorite parts: playing as Master Hand. It’s the only time in World of Light that allows you to play as him. You need to use him and his abilities to take down fighters serving both Galeem and Dharkon. After doing so, both Master and Crazy Hand will open the illusion. We conquer both Light and Darkness. Now the only thing remains is Galeem and Dharkon.
It’s here you have three different battles to go through. Facing either Galeem or Dharkon will unlock a bad ending for World of Light.
If Galeem is defeated, Dharkon will consume the world and the entire universe will be drowned in darkness.
If Dharkon is defeated, Galeem will bathe the world and the universe in light ensnaring everything and reshaping it to his own way.
However, to obtain the true ending you must face both Galeem and Dharkon. You choose three characters and must go through an obstacle course of heck to reach the top. Along the way, Galeem and Dharkon will stand in your way attacking and summoning puppet minions. Once you reach the top, a boss rush ensues as you have to face all the bosses that were in this adventure mode: Galleom, Giga Bowser, Rathalos, Marx, Ganon and Dracula. Do one light boss then one dark boss. Doing this can help alleviate the damage.
After all six bosses are defeated, you face against boss Galeem and Dharkon. Thing is, it’s a free-for all. Galeem and Dharkon will attack each other and you. Your objective is to defeat them both to win. That’s all there is. Choose your best three characters and give it you all. You will need it.
Once both Galeem and Dharkon are defeated, the damage they inflicted to the universe is reversed. Everything is back in balance, as all things should be.
World of Light is done. Next up will be Classic Mode. Classic Mode with all 74 characters, starting with Mario. It’s going to be a doozy.
