11To unlock Wario simply play 20 matches. Wario will then challenge you, win and you'll unlock him.
Don't worry if you lose, yo'll get a rematch after your next match. A quick way to get through matches is to set the game to Stock mode with only 1 life and walk off the stage as soon as the match starts. You don't have to win matches to get challenged by the secret characters but simply play the specific amount win or lose.
