The Plasma Barrage in Super Space Galaxy is based on the legendary Plasma Gun from Doom. Like the original Plasma Gun, it does about three times the damage of your normal weapons. Its quirk is that once you let go of the shoot button, you can't begin shooting again for 36 frames, the exact equivalent to Doom's 0.6 seconds.
