Super Tanky T5-X Bortasqu' in Advanced Difficulty Task Force Mission, Star Trek Online
Played a Task Force Mission in Advanced Difficulty. Despite facing many enemy ships including one very large "Bastion cruiser" all ALONE, I didn't get destroyed. The Bastion cruiser lost out, but escaped due to time out since the end boss has warped in for us to fight. My Bortasqu' is SUPER TANKY. It may need time to kill a very strong enemy, but my Bortasqu' is super tanky. Yes, the purpose of large dreadnoughts and battlecruisers is to be a tank. To receive continuous overwhelming enemy firepower, withstand it, while sapping off their shields and hulls while they continuously are trying to fix their damaged shields and hulls. I was alone with the rest of my teammates elsewhere far. Against multiple enemy ships firing at me with one very large ship firing at me too in Advanced Difficulty. Other teammates got smacked worse while being together than me in that part of map ALONE against many enemy ships including a very large "Bastion cruiser" in Advanced Difficulty. So, I have a winner's build in my Bortasqu'. I just need to upgrade my weapons as they are quite bad. Then I can put my focus on the rest of the equipment too. SLOWLY.
I think the tankiness of my Bortasqu' is fitting for Elite Difficulty which is INSANE, but I lack the firepower needed for Elite Difficulty as my weapons would be too shitty for Elite Difficulty. I need better quality weapons. I found out I could get them from Fleet Base.
My strong Bortasqu' is the result of having
1. Good complement of weapon sets + MATCHING equipment that supports them i.e., LONG TERM WISE PLANNING
2. Decent core equipment. Not excellent, but decent (good)
3. Good Captain selection based in engineering
4. Good selection of captain skills and traits accumulated over a long gameplay i.e., LONG TERM WISE PLANNING.
5. Strong pay to win T5 Bortasqu' ship set/bundle upgraded to T5-X with another 20 dollars.
6. Good selection of Bridge Officers' Skills and training i.e., LONG TERM WISE PLANNING
My Bortasqu's hull has almost 50% resistance to all energy type attacks AND kinetic plus physical attacks. THESE HULL RESISTANCES INCREASE DRAMATICALLY when the shield in a facing is being depleted from being hit and that shield side receives instant reinforcement bringing it back online PLUS I have an ability to raise the resistances by +500 for all energy attacks making the ship impervious to all energy hits for some time if I have to. These are on top of having a strong special shield and plenty bridge officers' and captain's abilities to sustain both hull and shield. PLUS a ship that's configured FOR MAXIMUM POSSIBLE ENERGY FOR ALL SYSTEMS. MAXIMUM POSSIBLE. 50 is normal for operating at 100% nominal power. My weapon subsystem mostly operates at 125. My shield at 100. My engine at 75, and my Auxiliary subsystem at 52. 50 is the normal 100% running energy capacity.
