I went to Superman on Tuesday and walked away with mixed feelings. While it was certainly entertaining at times, the plot is too neat and tidy, too fast-paced to allow for any character development, and not nearly the kind of movie DC needs to revive the brand and restore faith in the DC Cinematic Universe (or DCU). James Gunn would make a great Justice Gang movie, but he should have left Superman for someone else. I did like David Corenswet and the rest of the cast, but between the aggressive CGI, off-putting color pallette and overall bland script, I just can't recommend this one. And I doubt I'll bother watching it a second time.

P.S. The movie isn't bad because it's "too woke" or because I want Zack Snyder back (I don't). It's just another generic superhero movie and it needed to be so much more.
