SuppleMENTALs: DM Roundtable - The Empowered by u/Tandra_Boy Part 7 (Hero's Backgrounds)
2I intended to start SuppleMENTALs by myself but... some DM friends of mine all volunteered to help, so why not!?
In this stream we're going to give our thoughts and ideas on a homebrew class for 5e called The Empowered by u/Tandra_Boy.

As a whole, some things we decided on that would benefit how this class is run:
-If your Power Manifestation involves a 3rd Ability Score, you can swap between it and CON. This applies to anything you gain through the CLASS, but not through downtime or abilities gained through ASI feats (or downtime if you had it).
-You gain the benefits of True Potential when you become an Empowered. That's a garbage level 10 Ability.
-Instead of True Potential at Level 10, you can choose a feat or another Astounding Power (I chose a feat that I fixed up, Shin picked another Astounding Power)
-You can work with your DM to swap out feats or abilities from elsewhere for Astounding Powers within reason (Neither Shin nor I did that though).
-The Astounding Powers that we said we'd get for free (the ones for specific subclasses in Empowered Extras) we enabled at level 10, but you could read the prereq levels (5 and 9) as when to give them to a player OR through them earning them somehow
