just a small showcase of some improvements i've done in Survive and Slash since i last worked on it before starting on After The Fire, and some stuff that i added today
stuff i added in May that weren't present in the Combat Demo 1 that i uploaded in April to itch.io:
- revamped sword animations
- revamped running animation
- removed the old sword dash move and replaced it with the old katana dash move
- added the (OP ASF) katana dash spam move as a replacement
- added the last melee weapon: the whip
- revamped the katana arial dash move
- added slow motion to the new katana arial dash move and to the whip arial dash move
- added 2 ranged weapons: the knife and the hand canon
- made it so the character rotation of the protagonist won't be instant and will rotate smoothly when sprinting
- started working on the Survival Mechanics
- added the Doggy Enemy
- added the Ghoul enemy
- added the swordsman boss
- added the Stony boss
- improved normal camera shake from Combat Demo 1
- added an additional camera shake when damaging enemies

stuff i added today after returning to the game for almost a month of working on After The Fire:
- changed a bit the weapon movement/acceleration system when attacking with weapons on the ground, so that i will have more control over it and so that it will be polished
- the default acceleration is now 4096 (as opposed to previously being 30000) so now movement feels smooth
- running animation's speed scales with movement speed which makes movement appear smoother
- with the improvements to the weapon movement system i improved the range that the freeflow can happen at
- rewrote enemies movement and made em move left or right relative to the where they are looking (which will be the player), cuz previously they would follow the player which made em not do social distancing when needed to
- revamped the practice level to have more enemies/be bigger, and made it look gray
- removed the max camera lag distance, giving a wayyyy better feeling when dashing or katana dash spamming or teleporting
- added enemy backwards launching, some attacks like the katana air dash or the knuckles landing strike, launch the enemies backwards making it look wayyy cooler
- added camera shake when dashing
