44Any game that requires modding to just be playable has a strike against it really. Most of the breakthroughs really don't add anything to the game other than to clutter up what is going on. You could think of the game purely in terms of setting it up assuming you won't have any breakthroughs but that only really allows some types of playthroughs since some breakthroughs are mandatory for some games.
