Let's check out another Touhou FanGame Jam game (In this case it's the 3rd Edition); this time it's a cutesy platformer starring Suwako.

Mechanically it's clearly inspired by Mario 64 but in a more condensed format, as you only have access to Triple Jumps and Diving compared to the insane arsenal of moves Mario gets. Still, the game makes up for it by focusing the gameplay on the speed and technical prowess of using these moves.
There are only 2 Stages with 8 Challenges each, each challenge having a set number of Coins to collect that will give you a different Ranking, with the top Ranking (Diamond) requiring good understanding of the simple mechanics and recognizing the "path" to take to gain every single coin and then ending the level; Honestly, I really like the gameplay premise, as it aims to be a challenge about both knowing how to "speed up" but also being good at the jumps, my only problems being that the challenges also force you to recognize and understand which "way to go". I think if the game just dropped you exactly where to start the level each time and simply focused on "going fast and never stopping", it would have been slightly nicer. It's rather noticeable in certain Challenges compared to others.

Still, this is just a "proof of concept" or a "Jam Game" and if we value it for what it is, it's a really good game, short but fun. Would love to see a "complete" version of this idea honestly.

The game can played with a Gamepad by the by, albeit you cannot change the sensitivity of the analog sticks which is a bit too fast at times but you can at least choose which button goes where; I put Jump on X and Dive on R1, it was pretty comfy.
