A very compact view on Jumps Framedata and a quick lesson on the concept of ChickenBlocking.

More or less this is an addendum from the Defense video while also adding in some interesting information on Jumps themselves. It may not seem like a lot but all these numbers really add up in the end; quite literally considering the pressure note i leave right at the end.

Worth of note is that ChickenBlocks are somewhat hard to implement unless you understand fully how the opponent pressure goes. In general you want to use them to get pushed either upwards by some projectiles or to block a Melee Check in the air so you can immediately JBE6 into a punish.
It's not easy at all as it requires to understand if:
- The opponent is using a sequence that does beat HJs but doesn't check ChickenBlocks
- Whatever they are doing is just simply above Gap 6
- If they are doing staggers that are, once again, above Gap 6 or simply do not hit high enough to catch a Jump with an AUB

Also, in case it wasn't clear, the reason why Marisa 6C into J6D J5A changes in Gap Framedata has to do with the "Minimal Height to Fly/Dash". Due to HighJumps getting there faster, you can J6D from HighJumps earlier than normal jumps BUT there is more, if you HJ9 or HJ8 you also take more or less time to get to that "Minimal Height". HJ8 will always get there slightly faster than HJ9/7, which is why Marisa gains 2 extra frames from Cancelling the 6C into HJ8 and loses 2 frames when Cancelling from HJ9. Jump Arcs may not seem that important but as showed in the video, they are the difference between a sequence that cannot check a Chicken-Block and one that can do that.

Lastly, for whoever wants to understand the frames, I'm using the basic tool that comes with the Community Pack. That one reads gap starting from 0, which is why the Gap is 6 and not theoretically 7, the frame on which you can block. Hopefully it makes sense enough... Anyhow, I'll see you next time!
