Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Gameplay - The Gatekeepe
2Sword Art Online is a light novel series that has grown to have its own manga, anime, theatrical features, and video games. The story focuses on the shared relationship between a group of friends who play in a virtual world using a device known as “NerveGear”.
The Sword Art Online video game series follows the events of the light novel and anime with added stories and original endings. However, after the latest release, Accel World VS Sword Art Online, I felt the franchise could use some updated mechanics. Thankfully, Bandai Namco thought this too and brought on video game developer Dimps to create a Sword Art Online title based on the Gun Gal Online universe called Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet.
During a Bandai Namco-hosted event in San Francisco, DualShockers was able to play a boss known as “the Gatekeeper”. Evidently, this mech type enemy is in your way and the player and their party must take him out if they wish to proceed.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is drastically different from other entries in the Sword Art Online video game series. For starters, this is the first title to be developed as a third person shooter. Players are able to equip various weapons and rush into battle guns blazing.
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will launch on February 23 in North America and Europe, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
