This Reimu blockstring is repeatable for a while if opponent is standing and chooses not to border escape. If they border escape, it crushes one orb which takes about 13 seconds to recover.

Compare this to wrongblocking a melee move which takes 1 second to recover.

The first segment of the video shows the blockstring being repeated endlessly with the opponent standing. The second segment demonstrates how the same blockstring is nearly impossible to perform with the opponent crouching. In fact, the opponent recovers that spirit orb almost immediately and is in a position to punish Reimu on whiffed j6A.

The third and fourth segments demonstrate the length of time it takes for orbs to recover when wrongblocking and when crushed.

Note that the third and fourth segments total the time span of 28 seconds. in that time, Marisa wrongblocked and recovered *five times* in the same time it took to recover one crushed orb.

Compare this to border escaping the string which costs an orb, leaves positioning at neutral, and takes THIRTEEN SECONDS to gain that orb back.

So, in summary: there is almost no reason to NOT wrongblock in these sorts of situations, when border escape costs you so much more for less reward. Choosing to block a string wrong actually rewards you further than using a real, intended technique to escape these frametraps.
