The mini-Retribution Alive road trip continues! We were in Camden last month and now we are off East to Leytonstone for the April edition on Good (BAD) Friday!

The live night will be topped off by the crushing DETHONATOR! As usual the bands finish at midnight and the Retribution club night keeps the neighbours awake until 1am!

Bands playing 7pm-midnight:

DETHONATOR

In the year of The Lord MMII (ok, 2002), the four strong warband that is DETHONATOR set out from Leicestershire to conquer all that stood before it in tribute to the old gods of metal, a lonely gathering of true hearts and minds amidst a tide of Nu beliefs. Now garrisoned in South East England, DETHONATOR are making many night raids into the heart of the capital, laying siege to the greatest of England's cities.. the mighty London. Yet, when we feel the call of the sea, we board great ships to take the fight across the waves of the Channel and into European lands! I will tell you our names, so that, should you cross our path, you may know us all the better and become our companions.

"Followed by the grumbling, militaristic march of Blight, this is stuff to raise the horns to. The band displays plenty of versatility too. Death metal vocals courtesy of Adz Lineker are interspersed with Tris Lineker’s clean delivery on the anthemic Legion adding a menace to an already frantic attack. The band manages to capture a nice balance of melody and all out aggression." - MetalMouth

"The musicianship really is first-rate, without needing to be overly flamboyant all the time. The vocals are powerful and soaring without that 'boot to the testicles' wail that grates on the nerves so quickly. The more up-tempo sections employed keep the intensity high when needed. A very promising start from a very promising band." - Zero Tolerance

SYNAPTIK

Synaptik is a British progressive/power/thrash metal band from the East Coast of England. Formed in 2012, known to incorporate elements from styles such as thrash, power, progressive. Synaptik aren't afraid to mix up the influences and certainly don't fear melody with their heavier than a black hole riffage and dynamic vocals, death metal aggressiveness with a progressive, melodic outlook. They draw on influences old and new to create a mutant hybrid sound-scape that makes them stand out.

"SYNAPTIK combines the attack of melodic death metal with the deadly subtlety of progressive metal. The band comes with a remarkable pedigree and features members who count Download festival appearances and guest slots with the likes of Exodus, Skyclad and Iron Maiden amongst their achievements. Expect a dizzying double-barreled assault of intricate melody and sheer power." - M..J (Powerplay Magazine)
