SYNTHETIK 2 Recon + Riotguard duo gameplay (100% escalation, raw gameplay)
In this video, I play the Recon class in SYNTHETIK 2. I am joined by my friend Nolan, who chooses to play the Riotguard class. This is the furthest I've ever gotten into the game, personally, and I had a great time playing. We played on 100% escalation difficulty, with no additional modifiers.
This is by far the longest video uploaded on my channel, and it may as well just be a stream that I didn't broadcast for. If it seems like people enjoy the format, maybe I'll upload some more of this game in this way. Another option that I think could be fun for this is The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. I enjoy that game a lot and think it benefits from live reactions as well.
SYNTHETIK 2 is a single/duo-player roguelite-style game in which you fight against robots on the side of a mechanically-enhanced human uprising. You fight through the forces of the Machine Legion using a vast variety of weapons and upgrades that you can acquire in your Quest To Beat The Big Bad. There's a stunning amount of possibilities for gun and item combinations, coupled with upgrades for your specific character and gamechanging upgrades that open the possibility up for near-infinite powerscaling.
The Recon class I choose to play in this video is largely a hit-and-run style sniper character. The weapon kit of my choice restores ammo when I kill with headshots, my shift key activates a backwards dash that refills 1 bullet into my magazine, my 1 key activates an AOE slowdown for enemies that also boosts allies' speed, and my 2 key (rebound to m2) activates a laser sight to assist in hitting those critical headshots.
SYNTHETIK 2 has very precise gunplay, and I find that I enjoy the laser scope's boost to weapon accuracy a lot, as well as enjoy that it all but removes the penalty that moving and shooting simultaneously usually incurs. Weapons in SYNTHETIK 2 have a variety of upgrades available to fix this, although the game doesn't fail to allot space for more tactical gunplay. With reload QTEs that both increase reload speed and remove the chance for the gun to jam, you'll find that you have to use sound judgement and discretion to take favorable engagements.
Overall, the game is really fun and very worth the price tag. If you're thinking of looking into it, I think this video will demonstrate pretty well why I say that.
I will point out that SYNTHETIK 2 is still in development atm. There's a lot of good content in the game already and I've managed to glean 35 hours out of it so far, with plenty more to come. The only issues I've really run into, in regards to bugs that can break the game, are exclusive to multiplayer gaming. As a whole, it is very smooth until any slow-moving, tracking projectiles enter the fight. At that point, it seems to be up to chance whether or not the game will accurately track them on your screen. (This WILL come into play during the run)
