Ghost Recon Wildlands takes places during July 2019 in Bolivia. A Mexican drug cartel, the Santa Blanca, has gained immense power & influence within the country, turning it into a narco-state & the world’s largest producer of cocaine. The US Government is concerned by the spreading influence of the cartel & the last straw is dawn when the cartel bombs a US embassy. In retaliation, the US Government dispatches a ghost team to dismantle & destroy the cartel.
