Tactics Ogre Reborn - Part 18: Golyat
After our little diversion that resulted in a new recruit on the strong side, we return to our main storyline. While I appreciate having a wizard named Dagon, the map here really sucks. When the entire thing is designed to have one low corner, it should be a red flag in itself, but apparently it went unnoticed.
We have the usual fare, the beefy monster wall serving as a roadblock, sometimes with AOE to serve as a bigger roadblock, while units with ranged capacity try to whittle you down. Due to the elevation issue, you can't really shoot back with ranged units of your own very well. I was kind of hoping we'd have more and more new classes trickle in as we moved, so we didn't run into a rut like this, but due to the game's age, it may not have originally had the capacity for that feature. So in the mean time, we will continue to try to force our way through.
