Taking a look at some EO-14 filters kindly sent to me by Beastoree, the filters in this video are:
Pre EO-14 Polish canister filter from the 1950s.
Polish EO-14 filter used throughout the Cold War.
East German EO-14 variant EO-24-IX.
Both the East German EO-24-IX filter and the older Polish filter use cotton wool at the top to help contain the charcoal, however the Polish EO-14 filter does not seem to need this layer.
East Germany and the Soviet Union replaced EO-14 filters with the EO-16 "Coffee can" filter during the Cold War but Poland continued to use the EO-14 style filters.
As will all old filters I would advise not breathing through them, I did a quick test with the Polish EO-14 filter in the video but many old filters have asbestos in or other harmful materials.
