After Senel and Shirley banish their alter egos with their eres, the party continues on and eventually reaches Schwartz. Not one for words, Schwartz only tells the party of the fruitility of their efforts. The group stands strong regardless, and she takes them on.

Schwartz is a prime example of the ally AI working against you. She is almost ALWAYS attacking, with a defense that is similar if not exactly the same as Maurits. Her staff combo hits behind and in front of her, and so does her move Spiral of Life (which she uses randomly or whenever you knock her down). Melody of Life is the biggest pain, since it has very long range and hits HARD. Spell casters in this game, unlike previous and future installments of Tales, see fit not to use Guardian in the middle of their casting if an attack is headed their way, so it ends up with nothing you can do as a player but watch as they get hammered into the ground.

She also has a few powerful spells at her arsenal, ranging from Demon Lance to Meteor Storm, all of which are pretty dangerous (Demon Lance and Ancient Nova probably the most so). I also forgot to mentioned her resistance to everything but Sea, which sucks. Still, this time you're only required to get her down to half damage before the battle ends, just like the first time you fought her in the Wings of Light.
