I am not gonna lie, my first impression on the Tales series was rough :/ I have hopes that the other games will leave a better impression on me, but compared to the Trails in the Sky trilogy, I was left with mixed feelings, not to mention a specific gameplay thing that made me abandon my playthrough. At the same time, I would not call Tales of Symphonia a terrible game, the plot twist they deliver is great and subverts the typical world saving story… Alas, it’s just missing some extra quality of life additions, especially something akin to a ‘turbo mode’.
