A Yuri combo for you guys, and this time with some frame data.

The Magic guard variation of the normal FRC (free-run cancel) is one of the fastest universal (all characters) methods to cancel recovery frame's, only behind the Guard Artes variation (which can only be used once per combo/doesn't reset your arte chain) and pretty much tied to spell canceling (which is way easier and maybe about 1-2 frames faster), but that is specific to Patty, Flynn, Rita, Raven and Estelle.

Using a magic guard in the place of a normal one saves about 5 frames (Vesperia is 30fps, so 5 frames is a lot), and that is because a normal guard only stops if you're not moving, and after a Free-run cancel, you will always be moving. A magic guard, in the other hand, can stop even if you're moving, which makes it way faster.
While testing this I also found 2 intersting factors. You can actually delay your guard by some frames so you can guard while standing still, which saves about 1-2 frames ( but it is way too hard and magic guard is already faster) and the perimeter of the arena (and possibly large mosters) make your character stop, making it easier to do quick turns and saving the frames you lose by doing a normal FRC if you free-run at the edge of the arena.

In this combo I used an AtGC (thx Muc for the info) to cancel Yuri's Pyre Havoc(2 frame window), making only the altered arte "shine" to appear; I also used some MGFRC only chains and control (auto,semi-auto, manual) changes.

During the recording of this video I also had more of those Landing cancels to automatically do artes like Shining Fang Drop and Pyre Havoc when landing without landing frames, I think it has something to do with normal attacks, but I haven't tested it yet.

For those who wanted, heres the full frame data (may not be precise due my recording equipment):
Guard = 7 Frames
Magic Guard = 7 Frames
Moving Guard = 12 Frames
Moving Magic Guard = 7 Frames
Guard FRC ~ 1 (FR) + 12(Guard) + Startup of next attack
Magic FRC ~ 1 (FR) + x (0-5; If you take long to do the reversed fireball motion of the magic guard after a free run) + 7(Guard) + Startup of next attack
Perimeter FRC ~ 1 (FR) + 7(Guard) + Startup of next attack

FR = Free-Run
FRC = Free-Run Cancel
MGFRC = Magic Guard Free Run Cancel
AtGC = Air to Ground Cancel
LC = Landing Cancel

Hope you enjoy/enjoyed the video.
