Talking Over Xbox Games Showcase 2024 (I'd Give It A B)
0Every year the Xbox Games Showcase happens on a weekend, making it very easy for me to do a watchalong for unlike other major directs that happen during working hours and, as such, here is me watching the one they did this year. Specifically the showcase, didn't do that much of the Call of Duty Direct as I haven't played a CoD since before they were good and the direct doesn't do much for me as a result.
I'd say this year's presentation was pretty solid! There were a bit too many live game updates and all the fantasy sword swinging games blended together a bit too much, but there were also reasonably impressive gameplay demos and a couple of exciting reveals to chew on as well. Plus most of the games shown will be on GamePass so... I might as well try them, they could be good!
I'm not sure if I want to do this sort of direct reaction stream every year, I don't know it really suits me, but then again if they announced a game that meant a lot to me in time it'd be nice to have my first reaction recorded for posterity I guess? I don't think there was any of that this year, but we'll see.
