Tangling with Gizmo (Junktown) - Let's Play Fallout 1 (Part 6)
2In this episode, we'll head to Junktown to help deal with our burdensome pile of loot, get told sternly by the guard that weapons are fine but if you hold one too close to him for too long he'll go haywire and blast you for no good goddamned reason, causing you to reload your save that somehow puts you into some messed up timewarp situation where things contradict each other and you're missing a level up and perk, then find out the gate is locked at night, wait for a couple of hours, come in and meet Killian Darkwater at his general store, do a heap of trading, witness a poor assassination attempt against Kilian and help take down the bad guy, accept Killian's request to acquire a confession from Gizmo, get said confession from Gizmo, gather the boys and take Gizmo down, then, while still holding our gun that we just used to dispense frontier justice, be teleported to a spot too close to the gate guard so he now hates us forever and must kill us, get hyped about our level up and new perk, get shot by the stupid guard because we happened to be holding a gun in our hand at the end of the Gizmo fight and now we are being punished for it, retaliate against said stupid guard and put him down, reload the game and get stuck in a time warp, and resolve to fix it off screen.
P.S. Just finally noticed the weird grid lines on the video much later, I thought VEGAS put them there, but no, then I thought OBS put them there, still no, turns out...
THEY WERE THERE THE WHOLE TIME I WAS PLAYING AND I NEVER NOTICED!!!
Don't play in borderless windowed mode. It's weird and it still crashes if you alt-tab anyway.
