Tanooki Engine - EARLY DEVELOPMENT SHOWCASE
hey, been a while since I uploaded here LOL, sorry about that...
I've had this framework/engine made in Godot 4 in the works for a while now (since it seriously bothers me that there's no framework for fangame devs that actually capture the feeling of mario gameplay properly [though im going more generalized rather than aiming for specific game accuracy] 3rd/4th attempt at an engine now though) and I've only really shown progress in certain Discord channels; figured I should also show stuff on YT too.
Recently just implemented powerups (no functioning reserve box or getting hit yet), and I'm going to start work on Koopas + Grabbable Objects next, though I want to branch out from this after I get stuff like level goals and a world map in because I should probably actually finish a short 10-15 level fangame first before being stuck in engine dev hell lol (and I can just port back stuff in once I'm done with that)
