Rick and his girlfriend Jennifer enter West Mansion (known as Splatterhouse) to study Dr. West's parapsychology teachings for a school project. After a flash of lightning and a scream, Jennifer is gone, and Rick is left wearing the Terror Mask, which gives the wearer great strength.

Splatterhouse is the first game in the series, but only the second game to appear on a home console (after Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti (http://tasvideos.org/2915M.html) on the Famicom), which was later continued on the Sega Genesis (http://tasvideos.org/4073M.html).

Samsara (http://tasvideos.org/Samsara.html) and EZGames69 (http://tasvideos.org/EZGames69.html) improve the previous movie (http://tasvideos.org/3854M.html) by 155 frames, if emulation differences are not accounted for, thanks to better optimisation.
