Comments:
The smooth turning ended up paying off, but there is probably a better way of doing it. The way this demo came about is actually quite funny. My original attempt at this did not go so well, the jump was terrible and the monsters would not get out of my way no matter how hard I tried. I gave up and looked at nomo and the jump was better, so I decided to make it a uv tas just to see what would happen. The rng was actually quite nice, and so I did some tweaks and got a half-decent ending. I also accidentally found you can get a precise bounce or wallrun thing off of the imp below for an x dist of 44 for a single tic, although I seemed to have lost any previous work that had this, maybe you could literally shave off a tic while in the air?
