This is a spliced segmented TAS of all of the custom levels of VVVVVV as of version 2.2. This TAS is done in version 2.0 because some glitches are fixed in version 2.2, I do not have a copy of 2.2, 2.2 shows the name of your folders, and I am reasonably sure you cannot TAS version 2.2. This run is spliced and segmented because otherwise it would be nearly impossible to synchronize in a TASing software, and it would have taken much more time to TAS due to the extra amount of time I would have to fast forward through. There are 17 levels in total divided into 12 different segments carefully spliced together for correct timing (this /might/ be off by a number of frames since the game runs close to but not at 30 FPS while I recorded the video at 30 FPS).

I started this TAS over a year ago, creating a WIP when I was done with the last 16 levels on June 13, 2017. You can see that the first level, 333333 (easy mode) is very long and was a very rugged level to TAS, taking exponentially more time than any other level. I finally finished this level today, returning to the project after about a year of no activity. Video and audio quality should be better in this video compared to the WIP, and the splicing should be more seamless (it is done between level phasing in at the beginning of each segment).

This TAS is meant to demonstrate TAS strategies and routes used in each official custom level of VVVVVV as of version 2.2 in the any% category (100% will maybe come in a few years). Going through this again to emphasize on perfect movement, corner cuts, and whatnot would take many, many more hours than this already took, and I have no motivation to ever remake this with TAS-perfect movement just to save a few seconds in total.

This run makes use of several glitches, namely, death-abuse, warp-clipping (both horizontal and vertical), line-clipping, and wall-clipping (both horizontal and vertical). Death-abuse is using the R key to kill Viridan to take him back to the last checkpoint to save time. Warp-clipping is making use of the faulty ways warp lines work in the level editor, and with certain precise movements, Viridian can go right through them instead of normally going to the other side of the screen. This glitch can completely break levels and allows for major skips. Line-clipping is flipping twice with a 2 frame wait in between, and this allows for Viridian to completely go through lines, sometimes skipping intended gameplay. Wall-clipping horizontally is when there is a difference between height in two rooms side-to-side, so when Viridian moves at the right time between the two rooms, possibly flipping in certain setups, he goes either straight up or straight down. Wall-clipping vertically is when Viridian is already in an out-of-bounds part of the map, and he is in between two rooms vertically. He can then flip off the room, or go straight through it depending on which frame Viridian flips.

Timing for each level is determined from the first frame the game loads in the level, when all the lag frames from entering the level are done, and the time for each level ends on the frame after the text-box disappears for the last crewmate rescue. Timing for the entire TAS begins on power on, and it ends on the frame after the last text-box disappearing for the last crewmate rescue of the last level.
