Te Huia is the regional passenger train service connecting Waikato (Hamilton and Huntly) and Auckland (The Strand), which started operating on 6 April 2021. From Auckland to Hamilton it takes around 2 hours 30 mins, stopping at Frankton, Rotokauri and Huntly in the Waikato and Papakura, Puhinui and The Strand in Auckland.
