I think other than spy, scout is the most overpowered (probably the most necessary in advanced levels) class for MvM...

Reasons
1. Scout is the fastest. Speed is king.
2. Cash is king. You need scouts to do that, so your teammates can upgrade faster.
3. Scout provides the best support. They distract enemy bots and collect cash so your "heavier" teammates can focus on defeating them.
4. Scout's bat can provide crits, especially useful when you max out its melee speed. This works well in a team combo with heavy and sentry gun.
5. With fully upgraded resistance, scouts are essentially mini tanks who can move super-fast. This is a nasty combination.
6. With maxed out jumping height and health regeneration, you can essentially "leap out" of danger while healing yourself. This is especially critical when you are swamped by enemies from all sides.

Scout is basically tank+medic+DPS combination in one. Definitely can hold his own in an extremely difficult setting while supporting your teammates.
