Team Sonic Racing is now available both physically and digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, with a digital-only release on PC.

Team Racing
– There are 3 drivers per team and a total of 12 players on the track. All three drivers contribute to a team score and the highest scoring team wins. Use various team actions to assist your teammates and knock out opponents while charging your Team Ultimate.

Skim Boost
- Boost struggling teammates back into action as you drive by.

Slingshot
- Slipstream a teammate for a slingshot boost.

Rescue
- Knock out opponents to rescue teammates.

Item Transfer
- Swap items with teammates anywhere on the track


Team Ultimate:

Team Ultimate
Boost – After filling your team ultimate meter through team actions, players will be able
to unleash a massive speed boost that will help lead your team to victory! While under the effects of the Team Ultimate Boost, players will become invincible, receive increased speed and the ability to spin out opponents by knocking into them.

Online Multiplayer
& Local Co-Op Modes – 12 players per race, 4 player split screen, and various offline /
online race modes including:

Grand Prix Mode -
Journeys players on 4 races across 4 tracks.


Exhibition
Mode - Allows players to fully customize their race options and rules.



Time-Trial
- Single player only, timed trial event where players can beat their own best times.



Team Adventure
Mode - A single and local multiplayer story experience where players are introduced to
basic game features and characters. This mode also unlocks additional game content (characters, skins, etc.) that can be used in multiplayer.

Character
Types:



Speed
- Speed types will have the highest top-speed in the game.



Technique
- Technique types are able to avoid being slowed down by obstacles like grass or ice for a limited time when they cross those surfaces.



Power -
Power types will have the ability to break through some obstacles on maps and open new racing avenues. Additionally, this type has access to more powerful Wisps.




Tracks –
Race through the Sonic Universe with 21 total tracks across seven worlds. Enjoy 12 new tracks created specifically for Team
Sonic Racing, or race on any of the nine existing maps to experience a blast from the past.




Performance
& Skin Customization – Alter both the appearance and handling of your vehicle. Each character
will have their own vehicle with unique capabilities. Players will be able to customize various parts of their vehicle to advance their racing style. There are 9 unique parts for every character (135 parts in total!).




Wisps –
14 spectacular offensive and defensive items to help overcome rival teams and get ahead! Wisps are a key component to victory in Team
Sonic Racing. Wisps can be acquired along the track via random item boxes and are used
as offensive and defensive tools to achieve victory throughout the race.
