With many elements of my life taking priority, I guess I found myself in the middle of an unplanned hiatus from releasing videos. Whenever I did occasionally get the music itch, I preferred to work on my own original material quietly. It's been going pretty well, but it's gotten clear that I've become very rusty as a performer and producer over time. Instead of forcing myself to cross the finish line with my originals, I thought I'd gain perspective by challenging myself with something completely different in every regard. Teenage Wrist is a band that has been living in my head rent-free this past year, so doing a cover of one of their songs was a no-brainer to me. I've dabbled recently with doing vocals with a couple songs I released through GameGrooves, which has helped me learn what does and doesn't work with my voice. I personally think this song has helped me get closer to knowing where my voice sits comfortably. This also being my 1st video with an actual drum performance is a nice bonus! Fun fact: The 1st live show I ever performed wasn't on guitar. It was on drums!
