If I had a nickel for every video that would have a planned length but then come out unexpectedly longer, I'd like, have at least 3 nickels by now, maybe more, idk, BUT ANYWAYS! We're back dudes and girls with a brand new episode of Tekken: A Retrospective!

Today we're covering Tekken 4, another game that I hold very dearly as I do with Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 5, these three are the ones I grew up with on the PS2, and they're the ones I cherish the most. When I grew up, I realized Tekken 4 wasn't too strongly recieved by many fans and critics.

This was due to a number of questionable changes on the overall mechanics of the game, the heavily nerfed movement, the broken pressure on some characters, and a lot more, however there's still a ton of beloved-ness that this game has for so many people and that's due to the atmosphere of the game, where it's nothing but grit, murk, ambience with a bit of Tekken goofiness and charm.

Let's take a deep dive into the game that almost killed the series. This video is also very special as it marks the first time I've edited a video fully using Adobe Premiere Pro, I've upgraded baybee, and it was honestly such a rewarding experience, felt great to finally move up, but there's also the sad news that the yellow border is officially retired.

This was due to two things, firstly the border was harder to create and put on on Premiere Pro, I told myself I'd leave it for the end but it didn't work out, but nevertheless I rewatched the video and realized that without the bright yellow border, my videos came out nicer and more aesthetically pleasing.
