Been a couple of months since I did a full-fledged console retrospective, huh? And what better way to bring that back than with the Sega Dreamcast, genuinely the most underrated console in the history of video gamering, and one of my personal favorites for the games, features, and aesthetic alone, considering I never got to play it as a kid.

Being Sega's last ditch effort to keep themselves in the console market, it was certainly a strong way to piss out, by the year 2000 or so they knew they were going down but goddamn it they were gonna go out with a boom, they were gonna burn out rather than simply fade away, and they were also gonna get richer by making Sonic games for Sony and Nintendo :)

The Dreamcast had amazing games, incredible, way ahead of their time features and hardware, and an aesthetic that I simply love, from the start-up screen, the menus of the console and its games, the soundtracks, even the controller and VMU, the Dreamcast is simply a console I adore, so join me in this long ass video (The second longest so far only behind the N64 video) as I uncover Sega's mistakes before and after the launch, the console's pros and cons, its amazing library of games, and its downfall.
