Tekken 7 | Lidia vs. Lidia Punishment Guide W/ Frame Data and Inputs
0This video's purpose is to show how to deal with Lidia's attacks while playing as her. Lidia has a lot of pressure tools and fast attacks that do a lot of damage but (like all characters) she also can be punished with the correct attacks. I did my best to not repeat the same combos too often, hence the low damage on some of the combos.
One awesome fact is Lidia's hellsweep (Down Back 3,2) can be blocked and punished with Standing 3,2 for 79 DMG and even more with wall splat or a more damaging combo.
This guide is also helpful for non-Lidia players if you are know your punishment frames and you are able to react to her attacks. Most characters have 10,12,14, and 15 frame punishes as well as WS punishes that blow up blocked low attacks.
As much as a nerd as this sounds, Tekken is a heavily frame-oriented game that requires as much character knowledge as execution. Overall, Lidia is a great addition to the roster. She doesn't have any really difficult execution-heavy attacks. Her QCF 2,2 Back, Back, Forward QCF 1+2 is -16 on block and can be blown up really badly by most characters. You only want to do this combo at the end of a bound for Wall Carry and crazy damage or when an opponent is expecting a low attack at the end of a round, which most people's survival mode kicks-in. You can also use this attack on hit confirms, where the opponent is moving and you can get the full combo, because it's so negative on frames (most mid combos are natural combos that can be punished if blocked).
