Shaheen is one of my most used characters in Tekken 7. While he did get his share of nerfs, he also received some buffs as well. While I'm no expert at tutorials, I feel like this new i10 move deserves a bit more attention than it's currently receiving. After all, the official changes list simply lists it as "New move added" and does not provide any additional details whatsoever. It does 28 damage by itself. To put things into perspective, this is tied with Lili's 2,4 at being one of the most damaging i10 punishers in the game, right behind Jin's 2,4 at 29 damage. While it doesn't knock down, it gives enough frame advantage to transition into Stealth Step (SNK) for some nice frame traps. Each clip is listed below in order of appearance and I'll explain each of them in detail.

1) Illustrating that the string is in fact a natural combo and cannot be crouched after the first hit connects.

2) Illustrating that the string is safe on block.

3) Illustrating that the string does not jail if the first hit is blocked.

4) 2,3~SNK 1: On hit, this sequence gives enough frame advantage so that SNK 1 cannot be interrupted. For the first half, I take the hit and try to counter poke with a standing jab. During the 2nd attempt, I try to use a crouching jab but still eat the counter hit from SNK 1. Due to the new counter hit properties of SNK 1, you can connect with f+2,3 for a knockdown which is another one of his changes.

5) 2,3~SNK 2: This sequence also cannot be interrupted. I used the same conditions as clip #4 and I ate the counter hit both times. SNK 2 is now also safe on block; another improvement he received. Since it hits mid, it will catch anyone who tries to crouch SNK 1 after taking the initial hits.

6) 2,3~SNK 3: This sequence will trade with standing jabs. While SNK 3 is riskier, trading with a standing jab is hardly a loss when the opponent is also knocked down. If the opponent is patient, SNK 3 can still be punished at -12 on block though.

7) 2,3~SNK 3: Same sequence as #6, but illustrating that SNK 3 will cleanly beat crouching jabs.

8) 2,3~SNK 3: Same sequence as #6, but illustrating that SNK 3 will beat magic 4.

I did not include include SNK 4 because that move is still as useless as ever. While this isn't a comprehensive list, hopefully you'll understand that this new simple move is pretty significant and leads to some rewarding new options with Shaheen when utilized properly.
