Tekken Tag Tournament (PS2) Gameplay (RetroTink 2X Pro)
16I'm a bit rusty at this game. I forgot the tag team combos in this game. I also forgot how much the AI cheats on normal. I edited out my continues, but you can guess where I continued when Jun and King Change clothes. This is the last Tekken game I actually cared about.
I played 4, and portions of 5 or 6, but never cared as much for this series since Tekken 3, and Tag. Great fighting game series, don't get me wrong, I just haven't played a lot of 3D fighters since the PS1/DC days.
People can talk about how amazing Ray Tracing looks in modern games, but man, I remember the first time I saw screenshots of this game in action, and my eyes melted much more readily for PS2 graphics than for even the most modern of graphical technologies. That generational jump from PS1 to PS2 was huge in comparison. This game still looks great today.
I remember spending a few hours downloading a 30 second video of this game in action off IGN or Gamespot back in the day over my 56K connection. The video is probably grainy and terrible by today's standards, but it was something else just to see this game in action.
I really haven't been that enthusiastic for gaming since the beginning of the 6TH generation.
