Teleglitch Appendix: Starting From Level 5
0Just a quick "fun run" I did of the game, starting from level 5. No commentary, music, or editing this time, just raw video (from OBS).
Starting the game from level 5 is faster, and lets you get right into the difficult levels 5 and 6 for some quick practice, but it's harder to beat the game that way since you start with fewer medkits, explosives, and ammo than you would have if you did a full run starting from level 1. To compensate somewhat, you have a good selection of weapons, two pistols, and a motor and large tube, meaning you can craft the powerlegs for level 5 (whereas normally you'd have to get the motor as a lucky drop).
Unfortunately, my computer apparently stinks worse than I thought it did, or maybe it couldn't handle having OBS, Steam and Firefox open at the same time. Whatever the cause, the game lagged slightly at unpredictable moments. Despite this, I don't think it really helped me at all since I ran into a lot of tough problems even without "bullet time".
Levels 5 and 6 are probably the most interesting parts of the run; it turns into a relatively normal run starting in level 7.
