Tencent, Riot Games, and Esports Valorant Are They To Be Blindly Trusted
I recently did a video about Valorant closed Beta and it's anti cheat system. To add to this discussion, we need to talk about Tencent and how it is slowly taking over the gaming industry. Tencent is the biggest entertainment conglomerate in the world. Owning a piece of most of our gaming developers and publishers. Tencent owns a portion of Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, Grinding Gear Games, Riot Games, among many others. Given Tencent is a Chinese company, with a record of spying on their own people and others, should we blindly trust Riot Games since it is owned by Tencent? Valorant is a fun game to play, and is set to take esports by storm, but does it justify allowing Tencent total access to our systems? or given China's human rights issues does it concern you supporting Tencent?
